Business mentoring

Introduction

Business mentoring can have a positive impact on you and your business. Having a business mentor can help you develop key business skills, build your confidence and widen your network of business contacts.

The Business Mentoring programme provides mentors to businesses in Scotland looking for guidance. The programme is delivered across Scotland by the Scottish Chambers of Commerce.

Business mentors are volunteers who are keen to share their experience and knowledge. As experienced and successful business people, they understand the issues you face as a business owner. Providing an impartial view, they can encourage you to look at your business from a distance. Often, this is all that's needed to identify opportunities for growth.

This guide outlines the different types of business mentoring services available. It also describes the benefits of becoming a business mentor and how to get involved.
